Crohn’s & Colitis UK
We are the UK’s leading charity for the 300,000 patients living with either Crohn’s or Colitis- with the current figure believed to be almost double! People with the conditions face a lifetime of medication and, in many cases, major surgery. If left untreated, it can be fatal. Unlike many other diseases, there is a huge stigma attached leading many people to feel too ashamed or embarrassed to talk about it. This means that not only are they struggling with the devastating effects of Crohn’s or Colitis – they’re doing so alone

RSPCA Southridge Animal Centre
Southridge occupies a 16-acre site that nestles in the bottom of a small valley surrounded by the lush green Hertfordshire countryside. Although we have all too often witnessed the true horrors and cruelty that humans subject animals to, it is here that the lengthy process of reversing the damage begins.
Southridge is not a sanctuary, it is a re-homing centre. Our aim is to place every animal who walks or is carried through our doors into new, responsible, kind and caring homes. We care for many species of animals, and at one time can have up to 250 animals on site that need our support.

Rugby Against Cancer
After a lightbulb moment from our Founder Aaron Beesley, Rugby Against Cancer was born in May 2018. The rugby family is a tribe. A bond that cannot be broken between people who genuinely love, trust, care about and look out for each other. Rugby Against Cancer is here to support that family.
Cancer does not discriminate and can affect anybody, so we want to be there for those that need it. As a charity we harness the power of the rugby community to raise funds and awareness to enhance the lives of those living with cancer.

Samaritans
Every 10 seconds, Samaritans responds to a call for help.
We’re here, day or night, for anyone who’s struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure.
Samaritans is not only for the moment of crisis, we’re taking action to prevent the crisis.
We give people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others. And we encourage, promote and celebrate those moments of connection between people that can save lives.
We offer listening and support to people and communities in times of need.
In prisons, schools, hospitals and on the rail network, Samaritans are working with people who are going through a difficult time and training others to do the same.
Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide.
That’s why we work tirelessly to reach more people and make suicide prevention a priority.

Samuels Charity
At the start of September 2013 Samuel was admitted to St George’s hospital in South London. He was diagnosed with a cancer, one that is very rare – Precursor T-Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He saw how hard it was for the other children to suffer the pain, fear and loneliness of serious illness so he asked his dad to start a charity to help them.
Now, Samuel’s Charity helps thousands of seriously and terminally ill children in underfunded wards.
We provide entertainment equipment – Games Stands that have a new games console, 24 inch TV, storage for controllers and multiple games – the Stand is on wheels so can be used anywhere especially in isolation rooms where they are needed most. We also provide Accuveins – handheld scanner that reduces most or all of pain from injections for kids. These are just some of the items that transform the treatment and reduce the pain and depression so many children suffer daily.

Signpost
Signpost emerged in 1970 when Dr Edwards, a local GP and juvenile magistrate, decided to help the large number of young people displaying mental health symptoms caused by boredom and dissatisfaction with home, school, work and life in general. He worked with the Senior Youth & Community Officer to establish a bureau which would offer both information and counselling to young people. Today the charity has offices around Hertfordshire and further with satellites in Rickmansworth/Maple Cross and South Oxhey

Streetsmart
StreetSmart was set up in 1998 by two ethically-minded London business people, William Sieghart, Chairman of StreetSmart, founder of Forward Publishing and Mary-Lou Sturridge, Former Director of The Groucho Club, Hotelier.
The idea was simple. During November and December in the run-up to Christmas, many people go out to eat in restaurants and celebrate the spirit of the holidays; so wouldn’t it be great if we could harness just a little of that “good cheer” and raise money for worthy charities at the same time people were enjoying a nice meal out?
The Charity raises money and then distributes it directly to the actual charities, hostels and projects that have the experience and facilities to help adults and children who are living on the streets, are homeless and want to get back on their feet. The money goes to charities providing for both basic needs and to those supplying the skills and resources needed to help in the long-term.

Supershoes
Supershoes empowers children & young people fighting cancer in the UK, enhancing physical & emotional well-being whilst raising awareness. Each pair of shoes is designed specifically for a particular child or young person with a diagnosis of cancer, and hand-painted by a Super Artist to capture that child and all their favourite things: games, sports team, music, animals, colours, tv programmes. They love it; we paint it! The end product is a pair of Supershoes as unique as the child or young person that wears them. They are a constant reminder to that child of who they are, beyond their illness, challenges and treatment. It costs Supershoes £70 to create 1 pair of shoes.

Teens Unite supports young people fighting cancer to live their best life, while others search for a cure. The Charity inspires young people to recognise their potential now and, in the future, and empowers them to live every moment to the full. When you’re faced with cancer, plenty of people will tell you what you can’t do, but Teens Unite shows these young people what they can do; without letting the “C” word hold them back or define who they are.

The Listening Place
Suicide kills 19 people a day in the UK and is the leading cause of death for all people under 35. Most of those who die are not receiving any support from mental health services — and those that are may have waited several weeks or even months for treatment.
We are here to help. We work quickly to offer free, regular sessions with a carefully trained volunteer, allowing people to talk through their suicidal feelings in a completely confidential setting.

Waltham Abbey Youth 2000
Waltham Abbey Youth 2000 seeks to improve sporting, leisure, cultural, education and employment opportunities for the young people of Waltham Abbey.
We believe that all young people deserve a safe and healthy environment and should have facilities which enable them to make gainful use of their leisure time, understand their duties and responsibilities both to themselves and the community at large and to take responsibility for their own actions. Our facilities provide somewhere to go rather than hanging about in the streets in the evening where they are at risk of getting involved in activities that might lead to crime.
